William and Doris Karton

Doris enjoys the role of being wife, mother and grand­ mother. In 1985, due to a stroke, Doris's mother came to live with them. She made her home with them for ten years until her passing in April 1995. Many trips have been enjoyed during Bill's retirement years.

Janice and Tom Stinson reside in the community of Silverdale located near Maple Ridge. Janice coordinates a preschool program at St. Paul Lutheran Church and Tom continues to run the family business, Haney Builders' Supplies. Their two children, Holly and Kevin, are in grades 10 and 8. Holly enjoys volleyball, snowboarding, wake boarding and teaching Sunday School. Kevin plays soccer and basketball, and enjoys skiing, wake boarding and assists in a Sunday School class. Most winter holidays find us up at our place at Big White, Kelowna.

Melanie married Craig Mitchell in the summer of 1986. They live in Maple Ridge with their two daughters:

Bethany, boru in May 1994; and Tiana, boru in July 1998. Both girls enjoy art, animals and dancing. Melanie works part-time at Corporate Express as an account manager, a job she has worked at for the past seventeen years. Craig is a schoolteacher and is presently teaching a grade 3 class.

CarolAnn graduated from UBC in 1998 with her Bachelor of Science (Physical Therapy). She is employed at The Canadian Back Institute in Coquitlam, Be. She married Blair Christie in July 1995. Blair is employed at the Christie family greenhouse nursery. They are expect­ ing their first child in August 2000.

In December 1987, the Kennedy's moved to Erickson so they could be closer to their parents and grandparents. While they were in Erickson, Rick worked for Mutual Group as an agent.
