Paul Steve, son of Tony and Frances Swiscoski, was born June 13, 1919, on S.E. 26-16-17W in the Clan­ william area and attended Empire school. He remained working on the family farm until 1940 when he enlisted in the Canadian Army, serving in the Second World War.

In 1942, while stationed at Chilliwack, B.C., he met and married Pauline Czunyzs. Pauline was born June 22, 1924, raised and educated at Broadview, Saskatchewan. Paul remained in the services and later was transferred to Shilo, Manitoba. He received his discharge papers on September 28, 1946.

On September 27, 1946, Paul and Pauline purchased S.W. 23-18-18W and had a grain and cattle farming operation. In 1954, they sold S.W. 23-18-18W and the family moved to British Columbia. In 1960, they moved back to the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam pur­ chasing N.W. 16-18-18W. Paul passed away April 12, 1969, and was buried at the Municipal cemetery, Erickson. Pauline and son Bruce continued farming and rented the Art Gusdal farm for sometime.

On November 7, 1970, Pauline married Gordon Wilson. (refer to Wilson, John and Harriet).

Paul and Pauline were blessed with five children. They are;

Jeanne Ann, born July 11, 1941, at Chilliwack, B.C.

She received her education at Otter Lake school and Mission, B.C. She worked for the Bank of Commerce in Mission, B.C. for several years. On April 9, 1960, she married Bob Tanner of Dewdney, B.C. Bob is a self employed Architect. Jeanne is employed with a Real Estate Company in Kelowna, B.C. They have three children: Linda, born October 12, 1961, at Mission, B.C. Bonny, born April 17, 1963, at Mission, B.C. and Stacey, born February 15, 1968. Linda and Bonny are both employed as secretaries in Vancouver, B.C. Stacey is finishing his education at Kelowna high school.

Marline June, born October 9, 1943, at Brandon. She attended school at Otter Lake and Mission, B.C. Marlene worked for five years at the Bel-Air Restaurant in Brandon. On July 28, 1964, she married Wally Kam Yuen. Wally was born July 11, 1925, in China. There he received his education, and in 1951 came to Canada. He worked at Wappella, Saskatchewan for two years as a Cook, then moved to Brandon. Wally is the Head Cook at the Kam Lung Restaurant in Brandon. Marlene is the Head Baker at the West End I.G.A. in Brandon. They have two children; Kim June, born March 14, 1972, at Brandon, Tyson Kam, born June 1, 1974, at Brandon. Kim and Tyson attend school in Brandon.

Ray AI/an, born July 2, 1945, at the Brandon General Hospital. He attended school at Otter Lake and Mission, B.C. He resides in Brandon and over the years has worked for various truck driving companies. He has two sons; Ray Allan, born May 31, 1969, by a previous marriage, at Brandon. Steve Paul born J anuary25, 1972, at Brandon. Allan and Steve attend school in Brandon. On September 30, 1983, Ray married Robin Schellen­ berg, formerly of B.C. They reside in Brandon.

Bruce Herold, born January 16, 1948, at Erickson. He attended school at Otter Lake and Mission, B.C. Bruce farmed his parents land and on January 15, 1972, he married Phyllis Gunn, daughter of Leighton and Delores Gunn of the Onanole area. Phyllis was born May 14, 1951, at Minnedosa, attended school at Onanole and Erickson. Bruce and Phyllis purchased and reside on N.E. 28-18-18W. Phyllis is presently a clerk atOshust Solo Store, Erickson. Their two children are: Adrienne
