Girls'' Softball Team with Joan Olmstead as assistant coach. The team belonged to a league with an Aand B side and played against Neepawa, Arden, Wellwood and Eden. It is not clear if Justice belonged to the league or not but some games were played against that team.

Some of the girlswhom I remember playing for Brookdale were: Lorraine Martin, Irene Ufer, Joyce Vinthers, Connie Chudley, Lynn Jones, Gerry Jardine, Beverley McDonald, Margaret Kinney, Phyllis, Patsy and Joan Ramsay.

Then in 1967-68along came a team that were able to bring home a championship. Their coach was Bill Jones and Lynn Fraser assisted her dad.

The girls were thrilled to have beaten the Arden team. A lot of credit goes to Arden. They held the title for many years and I do believe they still have a lot of good players, but for one year Brookdale had the best.

In the mid 70''s some of the coaches of girl''s ball were: Susan Drayson, Connie Thorn and Isabelle Bonnett. The league included Hazelwood and some Brookdale Girls Champs Back row L to R: Daye Doak, Gaye Jones, Donalda Harburn, Coach Bill Jones, Faye Redlin, Wendy Davies, Lynn Jones; Middle row: Barbara North, Anne McDonald, Margie Walker, Brenda Grey; Kneeling: Muriel Burridge, Karen Link, Susan McLeod, Arlene Poole.

of the girls that played were: Corinne Oliver, Cheryl Bonnett, Kim Slezak, Bev McKee, Lee Anne Chudley, Janine Swanson, Shauna Drayson, Karen McKee, Patsy and Shaunda Drader.
