The Women''s Christian Temperance Union was organized in the Brookdale Church, and carried on for many years. Mrs. A. W. Moffatt and Mrs.

H.B. Dennis were two of several faithful workers who arranged teas and bake sales to raise funds. It is recorded that in 1955, Mr. Sam Burch addressed a large gathering of members and others speaking on "The Bracken Liquor Report".

One member was usually sent to the annual conference of the Women''s Christian Temperance Union, in Winnipeg. No further reports could be found after 1962.
