UNIT TWO U.C.W.

The first meeting of Unit Two was held February 29,1984 at the home of Reverend Barbara Jardine to discuss the possibilities of forming an evening unit. From that meeting, it was concluded that there was a need for an evening U.C.W. unit to be formed.

On March 20, 1984, an organizational meeting was held at the home of Darlene McDonald. The leadership and responsibilities of Unit Two u.C.W.

were formed at that meeting.

Leadership is by two members within the group. The team who volunteers is responsible to organize and lead the program, conduct the worship service and the opening and closing exercises, record the meeting, the number of people present, and the offering. It was decided to meet every second Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on a rotating home basis. We do assist with "supply" by helping U.C.W.

Unit 1 fill its orders. Our monthly offering goes towards our Mission and Service yearly allocation.

"Pennies" are given to a worthy and needy cause.

Lunch is provided by someone other than the leadership team and the host of the monthly meeting.

Our meetings are stimulating, enjoyable, informative and have a tendency to never be over early (as agreed by all husbands). Most importantly, they provide a time for our faith with God to be strengthened and renewed with fellowship of friends.
