REV. and MRS. W.E. McDONALD

Rev. W. Earl and Jean McDonald came to Brookdale United Church manse in the middle of the depression years of the 30''s, July 1, 1935, having been married in Kelwood, Jean''s home, the previous November. Earl was minister of the Brookdale United Church Charge including Gordon and Oberon until the middle of 1940.

Rev. and Mrs. W.E. McDonald The McDonalds have both sad and happy memories of their five years in Brookdale, including the loss of their first son at birth in December 1935, and the birth of Bruce, August 1938, who for the last 20 years has been with I.B.M. in Toronto.

Since leaving Brookdale, the McDonalds have served in Pilot Mound, St. Johns'' United Church Winnipeg, Neepawa, and The Pas.

After 41 years ministry in Manitoba, including Pine Falls, and Kelwood, Earl retired in 1970. Since that time the Mcfronalds have resided at 503 -10 Village Green, Stoney Creek, Ontario. Until 1983 Earl was assistant minister in St. Giles United Church Hamilton, Ontario, and is now, 1986, minister emeritus there.
