The Rev. Barbara E. Jardine came to serve in Neepawa and Area Larger Parish as a student intern in October 1982. She took up residence in Brookdale, settling in Mrs. Moffatt''s home.

Barbara was raised on a farm near Three Hills, Alberta. She earned her first degree, a Bachelor in Nursing, from the University of Calgary in 1976.

After working in public health for three years, Barb sought to follow up on another interest - theology.

She completed a Master of Divinity with honors at Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma in May 1982. Following her intern year in Neepawa and Area Larger Parish, she was ordained into the ministry in the United Church of Canada.

Barb married Neil Jardine in November 1983 and continued to serve in the parish until April 1986, when she and Neil welcomed their first child, Jane Irene.

Barb continues to live in our district but is not serving in the ministry here at present.
