Frederick and Eliza Abigail

Frederick was born in Wales in 1877. He filed his homestead in 1898 in the Thunder Hill district. He married Eliza Jane Lee, widow of Richard Newton Staples.

Staples children were:
Harold- married Ora Hawe, Ira-died over seas, Pearl-married Leo Paul, Newt- married Helen Templeton

Abigail’s children were:
Beatrice-married Leo Christie, two boys, Robert, Paul, Beverly- married Helen Negrave, two children, Ron, Myrna, Aubrey- married Edna Sedore, two daughters, Ardyth, Carrol, Myrtle- married Frank Spencer, three boys, Jack, Al, Glen Delbert- married Gladys Thomas, one child, Darlene

In 1924, Frederick left the farm and worked for a short time near Pelly, Saskatchewan. He then went to Rocky Mountain House, here he remain until his death in 1939. Eliza died in 1959.
