Odean Anderson

The Odean Anderson family moved to Birch River in the early 1920’s. They moved onto land on the old highway between Birch River and Bowsman. Worked in camps etc. Mr. Anderson was from Norway. They had six children, Mable, Charlie, Archie, Andrew, Morris, and Robeana. They lived in the country for a number of years before moving into Birch River where they lived their final years. Robeana Anderson of Dauphin is the only remaining one of this family.

Manitoba's Swan River Valley is an area rich in history. These family histories were a part of the 1998 Pioneer Centennial History Book project. If you would like the history of your area available online, have your historic group contact the Key Rock Group for information on electronic publication. We offer publication free of charge and also provide the option for making your history book available on CD.
