CENTENNIAL MESSAGE THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF CLANWILLIAM
My very best wishes to all those celebrating the IOOth birthday of the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam.
The people of Clan william and the Village of Erickson can be proud of their heritage. All too often we take for granted the hardships and sacrifices made by those who settled the country. Without the physical comforts we today enjoy, they toiled endless hours on this same soil forming a foundation on which their children and grandchildren could build. Today we see the results of their determination, and that of their descendents.
Yet, we all benefit from the sacrifices made by those determined men and women, and this is indeed a time to celebrate their achievements for the community and the country.
To the past and present residents of The Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam and The Village of Erickson, and all those celebrating this momentous occasion, may I extend my wish for good health, happiness and God's blessing now and in the years to come.
Charles Mayer, M.P. Portage-Marquette
