Bruce born November 16, 1931, at Dunblane, Saskatchewan received his schooling at Westmount and Erickson in Manitoba. After leaving school, Bruce worked with his dad on the farm and in Winnipeg during the winters in the meat department at Eaton's. He also spent one winter at Eaton's in Victoria, B.C. In July 24, 1954, he married the former Lois Miller in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Since 1955 they have resided in Ft. Frances, Ontario, where Bruce was employed by Canada Safeway Grocery Stores until 1980, when he joined a local insurance agency as their life insurance represen­ tative. They have four children: Elaine Constance who was born in Erickson, Manitoba on October 15, 1955. She holds an education and special education degree from McGill University in Montreal. She married John Garner of Fort Frances, Ontario on August 22, 1975, and they now reside in Thunder Bay, Ontario where John is employed with the Great Lakes Pulp and Paper Com­ pany and holds the position of Woodlands Development Engineer. They have one son, Sean Clayton, born December 7, 1980.

Heather Dawn, born on May 10, 1957, in Fort Frances, Ontario. After studying fine arts at York University, she married Thomas Albani of Kapuskasing, Ontario on December 29, 1977, and they presently live in Brampton, Ontario. Tom is currently studying 'Urban Planning" and will graduate this spring from York University in Toronto. Heather is employed with the Bank of Montreal in Brampton.

Jeffrey Bruce Wallace was born February 23, 1960, in Fort Frances. After graduation from Ft. Frances High School he went on to attend Confederation College in Thunder Bay and graduated in 1981 with his commercial licence and aviation flight management diploma. For the past two summer seasons he has flown for a local air base both in the Arctic and locally as a bush pilot. He left Canada in January 1983 for Australia with hopes of furthering his aviation career there.

Shawna Lee Holmlund, was born February 24, 1965, in Fort Frances. She is currently finishing her high school this year and hoping to do a lot of travelling in the next couple of years, before furthering her education. ~he works part time at the Fort Frances Pool complex and IS a

qualified life guard and swimming instructor. .

Dennis born November 22, 1939, at Enckson, Manitoba attended Westmount school district for grades 1 to 8; attended Erickson High School for grades 9 to 12. After graduating from grade 12, Dennis taught grades 1 to 9 at Bower School District near McCreary. He at­ tended Brandon College from 1959 to 1962 graduating in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Dennis married Cheryl Tompsett, daughter of Earl and Marjorie Tompsett of Erickson, in 1960. He taught high school physics and mathematics at Killarney, Manitoba, from 1962 to 1968. They moved to Pinawa, Manitoba, in 1968, where he has remained to the present time. Dennis has been teaching physics, mathematics and computer science at Pinawa Secondary School. In 1968, Dennis received a Bachelor of Education degree, and during the 1981-82 school year, he spent a year at University of Victo~ia, Victoria, B.C. working on a Masters in Education degree.

Shelley, Cheryl, Bradley, Dennis, Connie.

Cheryl is currently employed as a receptionist at the local medical clinic. Their eldest child, Connie, is enrolled in Nursing training, while Shelley, the second daughter, is working and planning to enter the Universi~y of Manitoba in the fall of 1983. The youngest, Bradley, IS a grade 10 student at Pinawa secondary school.

Cheryl's main interests include bridge and crafts.

Dennis enjoys participating in all sports especially baseball and hockey. They both enjoy travel, having travelled throughout most of Canada and many points of the U.S. Dennis and Cheryl have spent several summers in the Caribbean where Dennis has been involved in a program to assist teachers of the area.

Marlene born June 23, 1943, at Erickson, Manitoba, received her education at Westmount and Erickson. After completing grade eleven, Marlene enrolled at. a Business College in Brandon and completed a secret anal course. In June, 1962, she married Calvin Allan. (refer Allan, Calvin)


Charlie "Kalle Gladder", as he was nicknamed at Hilltop, married Anna Wallstrom, daughter of Peter and Anna Wallstrom of Hilltop district in 1904. They owned and farmed S.W. 31-17-17W, where John and Sharon Whitaker now live.

In 1919, they moved to Norquay, Saskatchewan,.whe~e they farmed for many years. They were active In community affairs. Anna passed away in 1966, at 84 years, Charlie in 1967, at the age of 85 years. They are buried at Norquay Covenant Church cemetery.

Though another may have more money, beauty, brains than you, yet when it comes to the rarer spiritual values such as charity, self-sacrifice, honor, nobility of heart, you have an equal chance with everyone to be the most beloved and honored of all people.
