Christian Albert Leonard was born on February 15, 1880, at Sortland, Norway, son of Fredericka Hanson. In 1894, at the age of fourteen years, he came to Canada and coming to Shoal Lake where his mother and step­ father lived, later moving to Danvers, Manitoba.

Alma Christine was born on April 5, 1882, at Watertown, Minnesota, U.S.A., daughter of Carl and Christina Miller. On December 6, 1906, Christian and Alma were married at the home of Hartvig and Fredericka Hanson, first marriage recorded in the Danvers area.

They farmed on N.W. 33-17-18W for a short time, moving to the Village. Later they moved to N.E. 33-17- 18W, then to Pacey Lake for some years, moving back to Erickson where they retired.

Christian was a Carpenter and built boats as a hobby. Christian passed away on August, 1961, and Alma on January 5, 1978. They are buried at the Erickson Municipal cemetery.

They had ten children. All attended school at Erickson. Arnold, born on July 15, 1907, at Danvers, Manitoba.

He married Doris Chaple and they had seven children;

Kenneth, Linda, Leonard, Darlene, Gary, Gerald and Amy. Arnold passed away March 1, 1966. Doris resides at Brandon, Manitoba.

Frederick "Fred" was born on February 4, 1909, at Danvers, Manitoba. He married Lillian Averill of Crocus district. They had one son, Richard. He is married and has one son. Fred passed away in 1979. Lillian resides in Minnedosa, Manitoba.

Edla was born on January 13, 1911, at Danvers, Manitoba. She married Bert Moffatt of Rapid City in 1936. They had one daughter, Evelyn. She married Art Dixon. They had four children; Brenda, Deborah, James and Douglas.

Henry was born on July 19, 1912, at Danvers, Manitoba. He married Helen Johnson, daughter of Nils and Nellie Johnson. They had three children; Floyd, Lynette and Lorise. Henry was a carpenter and now retired. They reside at Pinawa, Manitoba.

Sylvia was born on June 9, 1914, at Danvers. She worked at home on the farm and at housework. She married Elis Holmberg July 9, 1935, at Minnedosa, Manitoba. (refer to Holmberg, Elis and Sylvia).

Lillian was born on January 20, 1916, at Danvers. She worked at housework and she married Albert Holmberg in 1937. (refer to Holmberg, Nils and Anna).
