In 1991 we started building a new home which we moved into in September 1992. The house exterior is stone (completed 1998) which we have collected locally and afar. We love living in this beautiful area and enjoy cross country skiing, hiking and gardening. We also have a love of travelling and have taken holidays to Mexico, Honduras and Indonesia. Our children have now grown up and are busy exploring the world. In 1995, Matthew travelled for two months in India and two months in Indonesia. He has just finished his first year of university in Halifax, NS. Emma has started her independent life in Winnipeg and is hoping to travel soon.

Clarence Alden Larsen, born on February 25, 1958 at Erickson Medical Nursing Unit, attended Erickson Elementary, and graduated from Erickson Collegiate in 1975. Since 1977, Clarence has worked for Crocus Grain and Stock Farms.

Clarence, Rachelle, Sharon and Amanda Larsen

July 28, 1984, Clarence married Sharon Heather Price, daughter of Bill and Hazel Price of Onanole. She was born on March 11, 1962. She attended Onanole Elementary and graduated form Erickson Collegiate in 1979. Since 1980, she has been employed at the Erickson Credit Union.

Clarence and Sharon lived in Erickson for three years after they were married. In 1987, they purchased a farm in the Clanwilliam area.

Rachelle Marie was born on May 15, 1988, and Amanda Deanne was born on August 11, 1991; both at Brandon General Hospital. They are currently attending Erickson Elementary School. Rachelle and Amanda take an active part in school activities and are taking piano lessons, along with their Mom, from Mrs. Viola Burkett. Both girls are active in curling lessons, and Rachelle enjoys curling with Mom and Dad in the weekly schedule.

In April 1994, the family moved back to Erickson and purchased a home, where they are currently living.

December 15, 1990, Dennis married Joan Marie Branton. Dennis and Joan returned to his roots in Erickson to be near his family.

His mother was in the Erickson Nursing Home.

Dennis was able to spend some precious time with his mother until her passing in 1997. She is buried beside Emil in the Erickson Cemetery.

Dennis owns and operates Larsen Enterprises. Joan works at the Erickson and District Health Centre.

Emmy Larson continued to live at the Parkland Home until ill health resulted in her moving to the Erickson Personal Care Home in 1989. To live with dignity was always very important to her and her family, and the dedi cated staff at the Home ensured that this was always the case. She joined in all the activities where she was able, and she especially enjoyed the church services at the Home, and in particular, the singing - her memory was failing but she remembered her favourite hymns. She died October 2, 1994, and is buried at the Hilltop Cemetery.
