A MESSAGE FROM
THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR OF MANITOBA
As Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, it is my pleasure to extend greetings to the citizens of the Village of Erickson and the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam on the occasion of the publication of Volume II of Forest to Field. This volume continues the history of your communities for the years 1985 to 1999.
As President John F. Kennedy once said, "We can't know where we're going until we look at where we've been." Preserving the history of your area with this publication is a worthy endeavour. It pays tribute to the contributions your citizens have made in the years leading up to the new millennium. It also demonstrates the many ways in which you continue to make your communities better places to live. In addition, it provides other Manitobans and visitors to our province with an interesting glimpse into the stories behind your accomplishments.
I congratulate the committee members who worked so diligently to make this project a reality. It is one that will be treasured for many years to come.
The Honourable Peter M. Liba, C.M., O.M.
